LTSampleGroundProfile

LTSampleGroundProfile[terrain,ips]
	gives the existing ground profile along the alignment ips as a list of {chainage, level} pairs, sampled at 300 points.

LTSampleGroundProfile[terrain,ips,n]
	uses n samples, and further arguments give the IP radii, curve types and whether the alignment is closed. Points falling outside the terrain are dropped.

Sample points falling outside the terrain extent are dropped, so the returned profile can be shorter than the requested number of samples.

This is the ground line drawn beneath the design grade in the profile pane, and it updates live as intersection points are moved in the plan above.
