The level is interpolated from the terrain's own surface function, so it is continuous between grid nodes.

Accuracy is that of the terrain supplied: a survey-grade GeoTIFF or LAZ file gives survey accuracy, while GeoElevationData gives whatever resolution the service holds for that part of the world.
