LTLoadGeoElevation[sw,ne]
fetches elevation from GeoElevationData for the bounding box between the southwest and northeast corners sw and ne, and gives a terrain Association. Options are "SampleDistance", the grid resolution, and "CoordSystem", either "OSGB" or "Lat/Lon". Requires an internet connection.

Requires an internet connection. GeoTIFF, XYZ, LAZ/LAS and corridor terrain all work offline.
▪
The best data available for the location is always requested, but the underlying resolution varies by where in the world the terrain is. LineTerra prints the actual spacing of elevation points as an area per pixel.

This is normally sufficient for preliminary design. A common approach is to design preliminarily against GeoElevationData, use that to scope a detailed survey, then design in detail against the survey once it exists.
