GitBranchQ

GitBranchQ
[repo,branch]
returns
True
if
branch
resolves to a named branch in
GitRepo
object
repo
.

Details
▪
If
GitBranchQ
returns
True
for a given branch, then commits or merges to that branch will automatically move the branch reference to the new commit or merge.
▪
GitBranchQ
returns
False
for remote branches such as
"origin/master"
.
▪
GitBranchQ
[repo,"HEAD"]
will return
True
if
"HEAD"
points to a branch, and so can be used to determine whether the repository is in a detached head state.
