Relativistic Aberration

Relativistic aberration is the relativistic version of aberration of light for observers who move with velocities close to the speed of light. This causes the rays of light from the source that reach the observer to be tilted toward the direction of the source's motion.

The cosine of the aberration angle is proportional to the cosine of the angle relative to the observer minus the ratio of the velocity to the speed of light. This is divided by 1 plus the cosine of the angle relative to the observer times the ratio of the velocity to the speed of light.

Formula

Cos[QuantityVariable[Subscript["θ", "o"], "Angle"]] == (Cos[QuantityVariable[Subscript["θ", "s"], "Angle"]] + Quantity[-1, "SpeedOfLight"^(-1)]*QuantityVariable["v", "Speed"])/(1 + Cos[QuantityVariable[Subscript["θ", "s"], "Angle"]]*Quantity[-1, "SpeedOfLight"^(-1)]*QuantityVariable["v", "Speed"])
