Erlang C Formula

The Erlang C formula determines the probability of packet loss or delay if blocked calls are queued until served.

The waiting probability depends on the traffic volume and the number of servers.

Formula

QuantityVariable[Subscript["P", "w"], "Unitless"] == QuantityVariable["E", "TelecommunicationsTraffic"]^QuantityVariable["m", "Unitless"]/(QuantityVariable["E", "TelecommunicationsTraffic"]^QuantityVariable["m", "Unitless"] - E^QuantityVariable["E", "TelecommunicationsTraffic"]*Gamma[QuantityVariable["m", "Unitless"], QuantityVariable["E", "TelecommunicationsTraffic"]]*(QuantityVariable["E", "TelecommunicationsTraffic"] - QuantityVariable["m", "Unitless"]))

symbol description physical quantity
Pw waiting probability "Unitless"
E traffic volume "TelecommunicationsTraffic"
m number of servers "Unitless"
