Baseball Batting Average on Balls in Play

The batting average on balls in play is the ratio of hits excluding home runs to at bats excluding strikeouts and homeruns, but including sacrifice flies.

A measurement of how many balls that a batter puts in play go for hits or how many balls put in play against a pitcher go for hits, excluding home runs.
