Basic Examples

Create a server:

In[1]:=
tcp = TCPServer[]
Out[1]=

Create complete handler. This is a function that have to check message completion:

In[2]:=
completeHandler[client_SocketObject, data_ByteArray] := Length[data]

Set complete handler:

In[3]:=
tcp["CompleteHandler"] = completeHandler
Out[3]=

Create message handler. This is a function that have to handle completed messages:

In[4]:=
messageHandler[client_SocketObject, message_ByteArray] := "HTTP/1.1 200 OK\r\nContent-Length: 5\r\n\r\nhello"

Set message handler:

In[5]:=
tcp["MessageHandler"] = messageHandler
Out[5]=

Start listening:

In[6]:=
listener = SocketListen[8080, tcp, CharacterEncoding -> "UTF-8"]
Out[6]=

Write a message:

In[7]:=
response = URLRead["http://localhost:8080/hi"]
Out[7]=

Result text:

In[8]:=
response["Body"]
Out[8]=
