The five largest moons of Jupiter are:1. Ganymede2. Callisto3. Io4. Europa5. ThebeGanymede is the largest moon in the Solar System, and the only moon known to have a magnetic field. It is larger than the planet Mercury, and has a surface that is covered in craters and grooves.Callisto is the second-largest moon of Jupiter, and is the most heavily cratered object in the Solar System. It has a very dark surface, and is thought to be covered in a layer of ice.Io is the third-largest moon of Jupiter, and is the most volcanically active body in the Solar System. It is constantly being resurfaced by lava flows, and has a very young surface.Europa is the fourth-largest moon of Jupiter, and is thought to have a liquid ocean beneath its icy surface. It is a potential target for future exploration, as it may harbor life.Thebe is the fifth-largest moon of Jupiter, and is the innermost of the Galilean moons. It is a small, irregularly shaped moon that orbits very close to Jupiter.
