Use the dynamic time warping distance to compare two heartbeat signals

Start with two ECG signals:

In[1]:=

ecg1=TimeSeries

Time: 0 to 10
Data points: 1001

["Values"];ecg2=TimeSeries

Time: 0 to 10
Data points: 1001

["Values"];

Plot the two signals together:

In[2]:=

ListLinePlot{ecg1,ecg2},



Out[2]=

Compute the dynamic time warping (DTW) distance between the two signals:

In[3]:=

WarpingDistance[ecg1,ecg2]

Out[3]=

44.7149

Find the time warping correspondence between two signals:

In[4]:=

{n1,n2}=WarpingCorrespondence[ecg1,ecg2];

Plot the correspondence between the two indices:

In[5]:=

ListLinePlot{n1,n2},

...



Out[5]=

Warp the two signals based on the time warping correspondence:

In[6]:=

w1=ecg1〚n1〛;w2=ecg2〚n2〛;

Plot the warped versions of the ECG signals:

In[7]:=

ListLinePlot{w1,w2},



Check the correspondence between the warped signals:

In[8]:=
