Use blob analysis techniques to mark the location and size of cells in a microscopy image

Use an image of cells under a microscope:

Pick out the individual cells that aren't overlapping:

cells=SelectComponents[DeleteBorderComponents[Binarize[i,{0,.7}]],{"Area","Holes"},100<#1<1000&&#2>0&]

Out[2]=

Create red circles centered at the center of each cell, with roughly the same radius as the cells:

circles=Graphics[{Red,Thick,Circle@@#&/@ComponentMeasurements[ImageMultiply[i,cells],{"Centroid","EquivalentDiskRadius"}]〚All,2〛}]

Out[3]=

Add the circles to the original microscopy image:

Show[i,circles]
